I thought the only thing Hockey had in common with Horses – was the letter H – but boy was I wrong… and pleasantly happy about it.
During my time coaching a Midget AAA team in Markham, ON, I came across the opportunity to do team building activity in a different way – with horses. Tracey Evans from Dreamwinds, shared with more how an animal could make a difference for a hockey team.
We set aside a full day that would include exclusive training, in classroom discussions, snacks, lunch and debriefs. Nothing was left out.
She had the team of players and coaches get involved firsthand with horses… but not to ride them, but rather:
